Important Information for English grade 9 (2022/23) - second half year

We're going to work with a broad variety of genres: short stories, films, poetry, reports,... you name it.

Material:

• folder (because of worksheets), DinA 4
• grid paper or ruled paper (your choice) with margin
• "Klassenarbeitsheft" for class tests (ruled paper, broad margin on one side, hand in till 23rd September)
• how you learn your words is up to you (vocab folder, cards,....)
• even though we're going to work with different sorts of material, please bring along your English books every lesson!

Mark:
written mark + oral mark                                                                   60% :     40%
written mark: 
        2 class tests (second half year)

        vocab tests every second week = 1 class test
       
oral mark:
        qualitative performance                       
        quantitative performance                       
        working attitute and performance (individual work,
        pair work, group work, presentations...)

Homework:
You are going to get exercises every second week.

Some exercises are obligatory, some are voluntarily. Most of the grammar revision and exercises will be done through those two-week-exercises, so take them seriously. (But of course we will revise grammar in class, if need arises).

GFS:
Possible of course. There won't be a list of topics, so if you are interested in doing a GFS in English, come to me as early as possible with a suggestion for a topic. However, a maximum of five GFS is possible. First come, first serve.
